  • ·You do a lot of data entry, accounting, or spreadsheet work
  • ·You'd rather not think about finding an outlet when you're out
Avoid if:
  • ·It's not really built for hauling around every day
  • ·If heavy gaming or serious video editing is the goal, look at other options
  • ·If you often work by a bright window or in a coffee shop, the glare will bug you

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • The 16-inch screen flips a full 360 degrees, so it doubles as a tablet
  • Rated for 20.5 hours, so you can head out without hunting for an outlet
  • A real number pad, which makes number-heavy work go a lot faster
  • HDMI, USB-A and microSD are all on board — no dongle bag needed
  • 16 GB of RAM as standard, so it holds up with a pile of tabs open

Cons

  • At roughly 2.0 kg (4.4 lbs) it's genuinely heavy → if you're carrying it all day every day, look at a lighter machine too
  • The glossy panel picks up reflections from lights and windows → changing the screen angle takes care of most of it
  • The ports top out at 10 Gbps → still plenty for everyday file transfers and driving an external monitor
